The magnificent monument hidden beneath Gjergj Kastrioti in Durrës
“Culture in 1 Minute” – Episode 28.
The excavations that initially started to rebuild after the earthquake the historical high school of Durrës, “Gjergj Kastrioti”, discovered an archaeological structure unique to Albania and consisting of 16 rooms, and at least 4 swimming pools.
Decorated with 5 mosaics, it may have been a large luxurious villa, but perhaps also a temple. However, this archaeological discovery is a new opportunity for Durrës and Albania to have a new archaeological pole.
