In contrast to the current geopolitical situation, the Albanians have witnessed an extraordinary history, where the Jews were protected by the Muslims. Their history on our shores begins in the first century of our era, continuing in the Middle Ages and up to the developments of the Second World War.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Vlora they left deep traces and had a large community, so that in 1520, out of about 4,000 inhabitants of the city, more than 2,700 were Jews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
